Following are some more types of anxiety.
- Panic Disorder: Capricious attacks of anxiety that are escorted by physiological demonstrations are known as panic disorder.
- Agoraphobia: It is described as an abnormal fear of being helpless in an embarrassing or inescapable situation that is characterized especially by the avoidance of public or open places.
- Specific Phobias: Continual fear of situations or objects is called specific phobias. Social, separation, test, status, performance, math, and public speaking anxieties from the first category of the anxiety-types list are the sub-types of this type of anxiety.
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): A psychiatric illness that can occur following a traumatic event with the threat of death or injury is known as PTSD.
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Repeated and ritualistic behaviors are observed in people suffering from this type of anxiety.
It is important here to note that a person can suffer from more than one form of anxiety at the same time.
